"Petulance" — not an ambulance for dogs

I mentioned that the people who work here don’t want anyone feeding their dogs.¬† Seems a little mean, since they’re so cute and¬†treats make them so happy.¬†¬†I concede that a¬†couple of¬†the Trupanion¬†dogs visit the veterinarian with various allergies, sometimes food-related.¬†¬† We don’t want the dogs to suffer, so we try to¬†practice restraint.¬†¬†¬†The¬†poor things¬†don’t want to visit the doctor any more than necessary, just like humans.¬† (And, dog insurance notwithstanding, non-routine, non-emergency¬†visits to the vet make their owners¬†petulant if the condition¬†may have been¬†precipitated by their coworkers.)¬† Bear in mind–probably best not to feed someone else’s dog without asking, even if it’s a dog treat.
