Chondrodysplasia is a serious genetic crippling and dwarfing disorder. This form of skeletal dwarfism causes the shortening and deformation of limbs in pets. Diagnostic tests such as radiographs of the limbs are used to diagnose this condition. This condition is most often seen in the Alaskan Malamute and Havanese dog breeds. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this genetic condition.
