What a heartwarming story. I think when we rescue a dog, it spends the rest of its life rescuing us, every single day. Great job, K. Really terrific.

  3. Wendy says:

No matter what animal you think you’ve chosen, perhaps its best left up to the animal who thinks he/she knows best (they pick you, not the other way around).

  4. KAREN DELONEY says:

As I look at the rescue dogs that I have adopted, I am amazed all of the love and trust they continue to give.

  5. kathy baker says:

What a great rescue story! Lucky is truly blessed! May he have warmth and comfort and love the rest of his days!!!

  6. Dogman2 says:

The poem about Buddy is so touching and the love that was given as I read the poem just shows what kind of dog Buddy was. Only a dog lover will ever know what that feeling is.

  7. Brenda says:

Lucky has beat death and has a handicap that he is unaware of and giving love like only an animal that knows it was saved can. Good for ADL and Lisa

  8. Nancy says:

I applaud ADL and everyone who helped rescue and rehabilitate Lucky. It is a wonderful and inspiring story in a world where so many terrible things happen every day.

    • June Walbert says:

Lucky is indeed aptly named. My wish for the New Year is that we can help stop animal abuse. Rescued pets make the best of freinds — in part because they know they can finally trust someone and they give themselves to you. And we, in turn, give ourselves to them.

  9. ann gormley says:

Le5ts all be kinder to all animals and please adopt and don’t buy a dog or cat. There are to many homeless animals already.

  10. Brenda says:

    Please dont support Puppy Mills

  11. Brenda says:

Animals with a disability will give you as much or more love than a “perfect” pet. Please dont turn your back on them because they are “different”.

  12. Tracy says:

What a fluffy cutie. Definitely a winner!
