Trupanion Lost and Found Tag Success Story

This wonderful story, which was distributed internally at Petco, just reached my e-mail inbox and I had to reprint it here on our blog!

Nikki Goodman, a groomer at [a PETCO] store in Dublin, Calif., was working recently when two concerned customers came in with a German shepherd mix. They said they found the dog wandering at a nearby hotel and they weren’t sure what to do with him, so they brought him to the local store.

Nikki recognized the dog’s Trupanion ID tag and immediately called the 1-800 number for customer service. After giving the unique ID number, the Trupanion operator was able to locate the owners and inform them that their dog had been located. Within the hour the pup was reunited with his owners, who were eternally grateful for Nikki’s quick response!

All enrolled pets receive a unique engraved Trupanion ID tag in case they should become lost. It is just another great way that we can ensure a pet can be safely returned to its owners!
