Trupanion Pet Insurance Expands to Connecticut

Trupanion now offers policies in Connecticut.

Dog and cat owners in Connecticut now have a new option when it comes to pet insurance.

(PR.com) February 28, 2011 — Trupanion, the nation’s fastest growing pet health insurance company, has announced an expansion into Connecticut effective immediately. This expansion will allow Trupanion to meet the underserved needs of Connecticut pet owners looking for health coverage for dogs and cats at a reasonable cost.

“We operate under a core set of values that have led us to develop a product that allows pet owners to see any vet they choose with no benefit fee schedules or payout limits,” said Darryl Rawlings, Chief Executive Officer at Trupanion. “There are also no penalties for making claims or because your pet has a birthday. We are the only pet insurance option with these important distinctions.”

Residents of Connecticut can now enroll online or by phone at 800.569.7913. Free quotes are also available via both methods.

Pet insurance covers the cost of unexpected accidents and illnesses in pets. Trupanion offers a lifetime pet insurance policy for dogs and cats with 90% coverage and no payout limits per claim or per year.
