Treating Cherry Eye in Cats and Dogs – Trupanion

Katie beagle

Katie

In November, we rescued our first puppy, Katie.  She is a beautiful beagle-mix, so sweet, and healthy (so we thought.)  I am NOT a fan of insurance, but our vet recommended Trupanion and they were offering a 30-day free trial, so we signed up.  Just at the end of the trial period, Katie developed cherry eye, and we continued with the insurance to see how it would work.

It has been four months now, and Trupanion has been a “true financial companion” for us.  Within a few days of submitting a claim, we received an email letting us know they received it, then an email that it’s been approved, and then a check in the mail a week later.  We (unfortunately) have had several claims in the last 3 months, and Trupanion has been efficient and responsive.  Having a sick puppy is stressful enough.  Knowing that 90% of the health bills are being covered helps alleviate some of that stress.  THANK YOU!
