Pet Insurance Claim of the Week: Teeth Fractures

Milla is a 3-year-old dog that recently fractured her mandibular canines from a trauma accident. The damaged teeth needed to be extracted so Milla had to go under for surgery. She had to go to a veterinary dental specialist for this procedure.

Total claim amount: $2,495.45
Deductible applied: -$100.00
Exam fee: -$94.00
10% co-insurance: -$230.15
Trupanion repaid: $2,071.30

While Trupanion does not cover routine dental care, we do cover the costs of dental work due to accidents such as this. Pet insurance can really come in handy in times of need!
