Tru Hero Veterinarian Sweepstakes

This week concluded the acceptance of new entries for our Tru Hero Veterinarian sweepstakes. We received nearly 100 entries, all of which were so very heartwarming and some tear-jerking.

It was very difficult, but we narrowed them down to five finalists across the US and Canada. These five finalists are in the running for the grand prize of $500 cash, $500 for their veterinarian to give to needy pets, and a Tru Hero plaque for the veterinarian to display.

Who will win? That’s up to you! Take a look at the stories and vote for your favorite by leaving a comment on that story.

  • Scooter the Great Dane lost a significant amount of weight and was rushed to the emergency vet where they learned he had Addison’s disease.
  • Zedd became ill and was taken to a new veterinarian, the only one open at the time, who graciously took him in and brought him back to health.
  • Dinglehopper the Pomeranian turned out to be a “puppy mill” dog and came with various health issues equaling frequent vet visits.
  • Kumbi suddenly passed away but his compassionate veterinarians kept in close contact with his owner to provide her with necessary support and information.
  • Johnny fractured his knee in two places and took an emergency trip to the veterinarian for orthopedic surgery.

    I vote for Kumbi.
We take our wonderful poodle to the same veterinary clinic as Carol took Kumbi to. We also can attest to the outstanding care that Dr. Amanda Booth and Dr. Carla Bell devote to the pets under their care. They are brilliantly professional and heartwarmingly tender with their patients, the animals. At the same time, they are understanding and reassuring to the worried human owners who fear for the health of their beloved pets. We are so very grateful that Dr. Booth and Dr. Bell look after our dog. Knowing that they are nearby lets us feel confident that our poodle’s frequent medical troubles will be solved effectively and with tender loving care. Thank you so much, Dr. Booth and Dr. Bell.
