Hero Dog Awards Airs Tonight

As a reminder, the 2011 American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards airs tonight on the Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m./7 Central. If you love dogs, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Special canines will be recieving honors and Roselle, a seeing-eye dog who helped her owner to safety during the 9-11 attacks, will receive the top honor. And the canines won’t be the only stars walking the red carpet. A host of human celebrities will also be attending, including Carson Kressley, Betty White, Paula Abdul, Peter Fonda, Faith Ford, Tara Harper, Julianne Hough, Joey Lawrence, Pauley Perrette, and Michael Vartan.

The Hero Dog Awards aims to seek out, recognize, and honor the amazing dogs who provide compassion and comfort to transform people’s lives. It’s just one of the many programs from the American Humane Association that celebrate the human-animal bond and protect the vulnerable and the voiceless from abuse, neglect, and disasters.

Trupanion is proud to partner with American Humane Association and has recently expanded its policy to include coverage for working dogs such as Roselle. If you have a working pet and are looking for pet insurance coverage, check out a Trupanion policy!
