Music Video by Teenage Duo Promotes Adoption

Lia Marie Johnson and Roxy King, two teenaged girls from San Diego, California, recently released a music video on YouTube promoting pet adoption. Lia, age 14 and Roxy, age 15, co-wrote the song they call ‘San Diego Dogs’, which is set to the tune of Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’.

The duo is hoping their tune will encourage families who are looking for pets to think adoption first. Check the video out and see what you think:

The music video and song single were also released on iTunes November 6. All net proceeds from sales will go to the Helen Woodward Animal Center and the American Humane Association.

‘San Diego Dogs’ was produced and directed by Tony Perri of Surf’s Up Studios in Coronado, CA.
