Poor Rex the 2-year-old Dachshund recently injured his back by falling off of a step at home. Dachshunds are prone to back problems due to their long bodies and short legs and unfortunately, Rex was not immune. After his accident, Rex was experiencing pain and unable to walk so his owner took him to the emergency clinic.
Unfortunately, Rex was diagnosed with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) which means that some of the disc cartilage in his back was damaged. Rex underwent surgery for his back. We are wishing Rex a speedy recovery!
