Pet Insurance Claim of the Week: Kidney Disease
|Mora the 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat has been experiencing complications with kidney disease. For this particular vet visit, she received lab tests, medications, and an ultrasound of her kidneys.
The kidneys are meant to filter out waste from the body, so when a cat begins to experience kidney failure, he will drink more water and urinate more to compensate. If a cat shows signs of kidney problems, it’s very important to get them to a veterinarian early. Unfortunately, if the kidneys reach the later stages of failure, it’s irreversible.
Fortunately, Mora is receiving treatment at her vet clinic and we are wishing her the best!
