The Washington Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, today awarded J.B. Stine, Vice President of Operations at Trupanion, with the Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of an employee who serves in the Army Reserve.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals and firms who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees,” said Larry Kirchner, ESGR King County Chair. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”
Stine was nominated for being highly supportive of his employee, Sergeant MJ Manwell, who is a member of the 6th Judge Advocate General Legal Support Organization (LSO) based at Joint Base Lewis McChord.
“It means a lot to me that I have such a supportive boss,” Manwell said during the award presentation.
Trupanion also earned a Statement of Support from the ESGR.
