Rebus the 3-year-old West Highland White Terrier is certainly a mischievous Westie because he recently got into a pickle of a situation with a corn cob. Rebus spent two days at the veterinary clinic where he needed Xrays and abdominal surgery to remove the offending corn cob.
He was sent home with some medication and a prescription to rest and get well soon. Rebus’ vet bill was no small feat, but it’s fortunate that he is insured!
Deductible applied: -$1000
Exam fees: -$75.00
10% co-insurance: -$224.85
Trupanion repaid: $2,023.65
This post should serve as a forewarning to those of you who plan to have BBQ celebrations for the 4th of July. Be sure to keep corn cobs and other human foods away from your pets and out of reach.
