Kasel Associated Industries

As if there hadn’t been enough scares with jerky treats lately, this recent recall affects a US-made jerky product. Denver’s Kasel Associated Industries has issued a voluntary recall of its 2.5-pound bags of Nature’s Deli Chicken Jerky dog treats for a potential salmonella contamination.

The treats were distributed through Sam’s Club storesĀ in Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Concerned pet owners should check their labels forĀ the UPC bar code 647263800208 and lot number BEST BY 091913.

No pet or human illnesses have yet been reported. Consumers with affected products are encouraged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
