Trupanion Now Licensed to Write Pet Insurance Policies in All 50 States

dog, dogs, pet insuranceSeattle, Wash./April 2, 2013 — Trupanion, the leading provider of pet insurance in North America, today announced approval has been received to write pet insurance policies in New Hampshire, the final state to approve the policy in the United States. With the addition of New Hampshire, pet owners living in all 50 states, all Canadian provinces, and Puerto Rico can now enroll their cats and dogs online at Trupanion.com or by phone at 800.569.7913.

“We are eager to share this announcement with veterinarians and pet owners all across North America, and particularly in New Hampshire,” said Darryl Rawlings, founder and CEO at Trupanion. “We offer a unique product that hasn’t been available to New Hampshire pet owners in the past and we look forward to adding them to our family.”

Trupanion is the second-largest and fastest-growing pet insurance provider1 in North America and offers lifetime coverage for dogs and cats with a 90 percent reimbursement rate and no payout limits per claim, per year, or over the lifetime of the pet2. Trupanion’s goal is to be there for pet owners when they need help most – at the time of care.

Trupanion recently announced new policy enhancements that include hip dysplasia coverage, fewer overall exclusions, and policy wording that is simpler to understand. This is the enhanced policy that New Hampshire has adopted.

“This is a very exciting day for us,” said Rawlings. “We have pages and pages of pet owners in New Hampshire who have asked us to give them a call once we’re live – and today, we can finally make those calls. More pets are going to be protected and that’s always our #1 goal.”
