Dog lovers turned out in huge numbers this past weekend at Seattle’s Furry 5K and we were so happy to be a part of the fun! Over 1,500 dogs were expected at this year’s event and they sure did turn out! From Great Danes to toy Poodles, dogs of all shapes and sizes were strutting their stuff, running in the race, participating in costume contests and even showing off some amazing agility stunts. This year the Trupanion team had over 20 runners and walkers take part with their dogs. Some of our fastest employees even clocked in with times around 20 minutes despite a huge hill near the end of the 5K!
Trupanion also hosted a booth again this year raffling off an amazing gift basket and helping people find out more about the benefits of pet insurance and the importance of always being prepared and there for your pets! We loved being right near the stage where we could watch the competitions and entertainment.
Just like last year, we also brought our Trupanion tattoos with us! We had different sizes and colors available for every type of dog that came to the booth! It was so much fun to see our logo on the dogs as they enjoyed the event.
Overall the 14th Annual Furry 5K was a huge success. The Help the Animals Fund was able to raise over $125,000 in funds for the veterinary needs of the Seattle Animal Shelter, and participants and their dogs were able to enjoy the lake Washington views of Seward Park while helping a great cause!
