Pet Insurance Claim of the Week – Tumor on Dog’s Toe

This week’s featured pet insurance claim is about a dog who recently lost a toe. Maggie the 9-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux whose toe was recently found to have a tumor. Tumors on dogs can be common and are often benign but it is important to have them tested just in case.

Maggie had radiology as well as a biopsy on her tumor and her veterinarian decided it would be best to amputate the toe. She underwent general anesthesia and the toe removal went smoothly.

We wish Maggie a smooth recovery and are glad that she was able to receive timely treatment.
