The Ability to Do Whatever is Deemed Necessary

Blitzen Image 2“I am a veterinary technician of 21 years. Too many times in my career I have seen clients make emergent and critical decisions about their beloved pet’s medical care, based on cost.

The hospital I work for, Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, recently added Trupanion as an employee benefit. While at first I was skeptical, it very quickly turned to relieved and thankful!

In March 2014, my 5-month-old puppy, Blitzen, was inadvertently fed a handful of grapes. Three days of hospitalization, IV fluids, lab work and $3,000.00 later I was extremely grateful to have the peace of mind that his Trupanion coverage was in place. He has visited the hospital a few other times with less critical issues, but each time I have had the peace of mind that I can allow the doctors to do whatever they deem necessary, in the best interest of my puppy’s health care, while Trupanion takes care of the majority of the cost and the stress that comes with it.

From a veterinary professional standpoint I would and do highly recommend Trupanion to any pet owner. They are very organized, make claim filing easy, and submit payment quickly. But more importantly, from a dog mom’s perspective I could not be happier with Trupanion’s customer service and quick response to claims. They always communicate with me immediately after a claim has been submitted and always ask how Blitzen is doing.

I tell people all the time this pet medical insurance is essential for the unexpected. We never plan for emergencies but if they happen, Trupanion removes much of the worry about costs, so that we can focus on giving proper, quality care to our pets and patients.”
