Question: What is covered if my pet is sick or injured? |
Trupanion:
All diagnostic tests, surgeries, medications, treatment, hospitalization, supplements, therapeutic pet foods1,2, and orthotic devices2 for accidents and illnesses (including those for hereditary and congenital disorders).

Trupanion:
90% of actual veterinary bill for costs arising from injury or illness, less the veterinary exam fee and deductible, if selected.

PetCare: 80% or 90% (depending on choice) of actual costs arising from injury or illness, after annual deductible is met, up to per incident limit and per illness category limit.

Trupanion:
No payout limit over the life of your pet, with no limits per year, claim, illness, procedure, or condition.

PetCare:
$1,000-$6,500 per incident limits for accidents and $3,000-$7,000 per illness category limits (PetCare has 12 illness categories), depending on plan choice. Maximum lifetime illness limits of $78,000 for cats and $84,000 for dogs.

Trupanion:
You have the option to select a lifetime per-incident deductible of $0 or any deductible amount from $50 to $1000 in increments of $5.
