What are Trupanion claims-related text messages?

Claims notifications text messages are SMS messages that are sent to members who want to receive them.  When a member submits a claim online, the member can opt to receive a text after we close that claim, and future claims.  We may also send text messages to members about whether they would like to share their experience with friends.  Members are not required to receive these SMS messages as a condition of enrollment.  Members will still obtain their Explanation of Benefits (EOB) whether or not they choose to receive these texts.  We may send these SMS messages through an automatic telephone dialing system.

How do I sign up for text messages from Trupanion?

Once you submit your claims application online, you can agree to receive texts about your claim.  

Are the texts free?

Our texts are complimentary, but message and data rates may apply.  Check with you carrier to see if your text plan may be charged.

Who are participating carriers?

Our participating carriers include (but are not limited to): AT&T, SprintPCS, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless.

How do I stop receiving text alerts?

Simply reply STOP in response to any text message that Trupanion sends.  By enrolling in this program, you consent that following such a request to unsubscribe, we will send you one final message under the program confirming we will not send you any further claims-related text messages

I accidentally stopped, how do I re-enroll?

You can choose to continue receiving text messages if you text READY after texting STOP, or you can contact our support team at 888.733.2685 or [email protected]
