#BestFriendFriday: Adopt a Pet from the Midwest

Ready to adopt a new best friend? For five weeks, we will showcase adoptable pets from different regions across the United States and Canada. On each #BestFriendFriday our goal is to find homes for the pets featured and to raise awareness about some great shelters in North America. Take a look through this week’s pets and share with friends or family that may be looking for a new cuddle buddy or hiking partner. If you’re interested in adopting any of these pets or looking at other adoptable animals, please reach out to the shelter or rescue. Happy #BestFriendFriday!

Adopt Midwest Pets

All of these pets are ready to be adopted and find a forever home! If you’re interested in adopting any of this week’s pets make sure to ask the adoption team about Trupanion‘s special adoption offer.

Adopt Moose

Name: Moose

Location: Help Save Pets

Bio: Hi! I’m Moose and, even though I was my charming self, I was the only dog not adopted on Clear the Shelters Day at Help Save Pets in Illinois. I had a bad skin infection when Help Save Pets rescued me from animal control but with their care I’m all better. Come see what a great dog I am!

Moose is a Lab/Mastiff mix who weighs about 70lbs. Moose is around 7 years old, but he has the heart of a pup. He knows how to sit, give paw and loves to play ball. Believe it or not, after our last game of fetch he put his ball back in the toy box! We can’t understand why he hasn’t found his forever home yet. Did we mention he kisses on command too? Come meet this goofball and fall in love!

Adopt Allison

Name: Allison

Location: Cache Creek Animal Rescue

Bio: Allison is so excited about life – just look at her extra happy face! Can you imagine how excited her face would be on the day she gets adopted? This beautiful 4-year-old Pug mix would love to go for walks, rest outside on a nice day, and just spend quality time with her future forever family. Allison was saved from a high kill animal control in Kentucky as a heartworm positive dog. She has been available for adoption with Cache Creek Animal Rescue since May of 2016 and has been heartworm treated. She is patiently waiting for a forever home to call her very own. Come visit her and fall in love!

Adopt Motita

Name: Motita

Location: Animal Rescue League of Iowa

Bio: Sweet, affectionate Motita is 11-years-young and a lounger at heart. She loves to follow you as you go about your day and curl up nearby when you sit down to relax. We’ll often find her lying on her back with her feet up or sitting in a chair like a person – she has quite the personality! This front-declawed beauty will be perfect for a calm, quiet family who will enjoy her gentle spirit and silly quirks. Learn more about Motita, find out how to meet her and see more cute pictures here.
