Is the veterinary profession literally killing vets?
At Trupanion, veterinarians and veterinary staff are very important to us. They are our friends, colleagues, classmates, and caretakers of our beloved pets. Sadly, we are seeing disturbing trends related to veterinary burnout, compassion fatigue, ethics exhaustion, decreased career satisfaction, and suicide within the profession.
In the fourth in a series of free RACE-approved CE webinars, we have partnered with Drs. Carrie Jurney and Nicole Blackmer McArthur of the 15,000 veterinarian strong support group, Not One More Vet to discuss the epidemic festering in our great profession.
Nicole McArthur, DVM is a second-generation veterinarian who graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She is the Founder of Not One More Vet, an online veterinary support group with nearly 15,000 veterinarian members. She currently works at a 10-doctor practice in Northern California.
Carrie Jurney, DVM, DACVIM (Neuro) is the Founder of Jurney Veterinary Neurology and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She was awarded her Advanced Neurosurgery Certificate in 2011. She currently serves on the board of Not One More Vet.
