My dog, Kendra, was very healthy, in fact, she had been a blood donation dog for a local emergency hospital for 5 years. She has saved many lives.
The day Trupanion paid for itself came quickly after signing up. We found arthritis in her knee and her premium costs equaled approximately what her arthritis pain medication would cost per month. Her knee eventually needed stabilization surgery.
Kendra was diagnosed with cancer a year after enrollment. Through many surgeries, medications,
chemotherapy, radiation, complications, ultrasounds, imaging, acupuncture, Chinese medicine,
supplements, physical therapy and hospice care, Trupanion came through time and time again! I did not have to worry about how I was going to pay for what the doctors were recommending; I simply followed doctor recommendations. Many times the invoices were approved before I even got home from the appointments.
In this time of state-of-the-art medical advancement in the health management and care of our pets, for me, pet medical insurance is just as mandatory as microchipping and routine veterinary care. I won’t go without it! As a licensed veterinary technician, I have seen far too many pets euthanized early because of financial concerns. Trupanion takes the flood of financial worry out of the situation and lets the focus be on what is best for our pets.
I will forever be grateful to Trupanion for giving me two very special additional years with the best friend I have ever had.
