Trupanion’s Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Steve Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS was joined by Carrie Jurney, DVM, DACVIM, CCFP, and Michael Lappin, DVM, Ph.D., DACVIM to discuss best practices when navigating the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID Council for Animal Health was formed with the goal of advancing the good of global pet health. Also, Dr. Michael Lappin is the chair of the WSAVA One Health Committee.

Consider the following:

  • There have been no reports of pets spreading COVID to people.
  • Wash your hands and practice social distancing.
  • If you’re sick, limit contact with your pet.
  • Your veterinary team is working hard right now, consider ways to help your veterinarian like curb-side food delivery, a hand-sewn mask, or a thank you email.
