Week 1 and 2 (August 5-16): ‘Dogust’ 1 – Happy Birthday!

In 2008, The North Shore Animal League of America dedicated August 1^st to shelter dogs everywhere with the knowledge that a vast majority of shelter dogs around the world have unknown birthdays. So we’re choosing to celebrate all pet birthdays, known or unknown, for the first two weeks of August!

To enter this giveaway, share a birthday photo of your pet! It might be a picture of him/her as a kitten/puppy, or on the first day you adopted him, or a picture of your pet celebrating a birthday or gotcha day. We’ll compile our favorites into a blog post to honor those special days when we first met our pets!

Two winners will be randomly drawn to receive a $25 gift card each. Winners will be drawn and blog post will go up on Friday, August 16th.

Week 3 (August 19-23): Photo caption contest

Come up with a clever, witty, or funny caption for the photo that we will post on August 19th, 2013. The one that makes us laugh the most will win a $25 gift card! Winner will be chosen and announced on Friday, August 23rd, 2013.

Week 4 (August 26-30): Pet first aid kit
