Something special for the Sunshine State
We're excited to debut our new plan exclusively for pet owners in Florida. Puppies and kittens going to homes in Florida will need your new, Florida-specific Go Home Day Offer that includes:

We pay first. Plain and simple. We’ll even take care of the sales tax.

We'll pay 50% of covered costs for the Go Home Day Offer period. When members sign up to continue coverage, they can choose their payout amount 51%, 100%, or any number in between.

We love surprises, just not when it comes to insurance. We'll detail a Coverage Summary within the first 30 days of membership, so members know exactly what to expect from their coverage.

We’ve rolled our rider coverages for things like hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and rehabilitative therapy into the Trupanion Plan.
We've been innovating the pet health insurance industry for 20 years since we first launched with one simple plan paying 90% of veterinary costs with no payout limits. Since then we've been first to deliver things like coverage for hereditary and congenital conditions, 24/7/365 customer care, and proprietary software that lets us pay veterinarians directly at the time of checkout.
The Trupanion Plan is our latest innovation, and is designed to make veterinary care more accessible to more pet owners.
The Trupanion Plan FAQ
You have questions, we have answers.
Coverage Summaries are personalized reports detailing a pet’s medical history. They list anything that existed before your buyer had coverage, so they can understand if something may fall under “pre-existing conditions.”
For pet owners who enroll to continue their coverage after the offer period, we will reach out to their veterinary team for the pet’s medical records. If we are unable to receive any medical records, we may not be able to offer coverage.
Should any medical records or previous diagnosis information become available at a later date, we reserve the right to update the Coverage Summary to reflect that new information. This would only apply to conditions diagnosed before coverage began (pre-existing conditions).
To create a complete picture of a pet’s health and medical history. It gives veterinarians awareness of problems that are already showing signs, and it gives pet owners full transparency into what they can expect from their Trupanion Plan.
We’re the only provider giving members this level of transparency from the start. We think that informed members are happy members.
Not for Go Home Day Offers. However, pet owners must activate their offer within 24 hours of bringing their puppy home.
We will request any available medical records for the pet from the veterinary care team. If we cannot retrieve the necessary information, it will inhibit our ability to complete the Coverage Summary. If we cannot complete the Coverage Summary within the first 60 days, we will have to cancel the pet’s plan.
