Referral program terms and conditions

Void where prohibited. Program not available in West Virginia and North Dakota.

• Referrer: Active and past members can refer their friends. Must have an online account and sign up to participate. Referrers must be legal residents of the United States or Canada. Must be at least 18 years old to participate.
• Friend (person being referred): Friends must be new customers and use Referrer’s unique Referral Link to start their application. Adding a pet to existing account does not qualify as a new referral.
• Referral Link: The Referrer can send their unique Referral Link to their Friends via text, email, messaging app, social platform, or word of mouth.
• When the Friend(s) complete(s) an application, the Referrer will receive a notification email. Once the referral is validated and approved, the Referrer will receive a reward selection email that they can use to choose the type of reward they would like to receive. Once they have selected a reward type, no changes can be made. The reward will be delivered by email via a one-time code for a $25 gift card.
• Refer a friend rewards cannot be issued on Exam Day Offers, Shelter Offers, or Breeder Offers.
• Individual Referrers can earn up to $100 of value from any Trupanion promotion per 12 months. Referrers are prohibited from “spamming” or otherwise sending communications to strangers to try get referrals.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts, deny rewards, or remove rewards if we believe there is a violation of these requirements or any applicable regulation.
• We may change or end this program at any time, without notice.
