Trupanion Express simplifies the insurance process for hospitals and pet owners. This innovative web application communicates with your Practice Management System so you can file and track claims online, submit pre-approvals, and issue certificates with just a few clicks.

How does Trupanion Express change the claims process?
Submitting claims takes just a few clicks, so you no longer have to worry about printing and filling out claim forms — just select from recent invoices to auto-populate the form and the claim is ready to submit online.
What is Vet Direct Pay?
Vet Direct Pay drastically improves the claims experience for pet owners and veterinarians.
Traditionally, when pet owners file claims, they pay their entire bill up front — and wait, sometimes for weeks, until their insurance company sends them a reimbursement check. We think this is a poor experience for pet owners, and our goal is to eliminate the reimbursement model.
With Trupanion Express, pet owners get an easy, speedy claims process and know what’s covered as they are checking out. This way, they only have to pay their part of the bill at checkout: their deductible (if any), 10% copay, the exam fee, sales tax where applicable, and any costs not covered by insurance. The rest of the bill is paid directly to your hospital electronically or by check.
You don’t have to wait to receive payment from us either - payments are deposited directly into your hospital’s bank account on a daily basis.
