Trupanion Partners with the AHA to Honor the Vet Profession

By Heather Kalinowski, Public Relations Manager

At Trupanion, we know veterinarians and veterinarian technicians are heroes. We see you bringing freedom to members of illegal breeder seizures. We hear about the amazing research you are doing to find a cure for feline leukemia. We see you take in animals that are out of options and need loving care.

But we also see you day in and day out, getting to know our own beloved pets and offering us the best care possible for something as simple as an ear infection. We respect what you do, which is why we partner with veterinarians in everything we do. And now, we’ve been given a new way to honor you.

The Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinarian Technician Awards, presented by the American Humane Association, recognize the commitment veterinary professionals have to the betterment of the health and well-being of animals. Winners will be awarded an expense-paid trip for two to the Hero Dog Awards in Hollywood in September, where they will be honored on stage and be able to meet and mingle with celebrities like Joey Lawrence, Pauley Perrette, and Jennifer Coolidge. Not to mention the bragging rights of becoming the American Hero Veterinarian and American Hero Veterinarian Technician!

We encourage you to nominate a member of your team. Nominations can be submitted at http://herovetawards.org.

Note: This program is for veterinarians in the United States only.
